Monday Quizzine

Well, we didn't have a winner on the last question, but it's still open for your input. Here's today's question:

How may years older or younger are you than the cube root of the sum of all of the prime numbers between 1 and 1000?

No need you show your work on this one.

Thanks and good luck!

    That particular number, whatever it happens to be, is ancient. That is to say that the specific number has been around for forever.. since the dawn of the time so to speak. The number has always existed. So that number is, in fact, infinitely older than I am in terms of it's "age".

    16 and change younger...

    Math = fun.

    Good job, Moo. You win again.

    Grend31, while I must say that you are correct in a literal sense, you could have interpreted the question to read "cube root... in years..."

    My apologies for assuming that the units were to be assumed.

    Thanks for playing!

    Well I totally cheated and wrote a Perl script to handle the math of it. So I only get half a prize.

    Since there aren't any rules, that's not cheating. I didn't expect anyone to do this one "in their head".

    I went to a website that listed the primes between 1 and 1000 and copied/pasted the data into Excel.

    The fun part is figuring out how to solve the problem.
